Safe formats A pendant with a stone, stud earrings, a named pendant, a matching set. A ring only if you know the size.
By budget Silver with a natural stone; 585 gold with garnet, amethyst, citrine or topaz; emerald, sapphire or ruby with a report.
The safest option Gift the stone in December and design the piece together in January, when the workshop is calm.
