What goes into the price of a ring
A ring quote is metal, stones and labour. Metal is charged by weight, and the weight follows from the model: finger size, band width and profile, the setting for the stone. As a guide, a plain 4 mm band in size 17 (Russian sizing) in 585 gold weighs about 3 grams, and a men’s ring of the same design is 30–50% heavier.
The stone is usually the largest line, so it is the easiest way to fit a budget. We show the estimated weight and price on the 3D model before casting and fix them in the quote — the total does not change after the ring is made.
| Quote line | What it depends on |
|---|---|
| Metal | Ring weight × price per gram of the chosen alloy: 585 or 750 gold, 925 silver |
| Stones | Species, weight, colour, clarity and treatment; centre stone and accent stones are priced separately |
| Labour | 3D model, casting, stone setting, polishing |
| Separate lines | Engraving and complex settings such as pavé |
Ring size and resizing
The Russian ring size is the inner diameter in millimetres. If the ring is a surprise, bring a ring the person already wears on that finger and we will size it. A plain band can usually be resized by up to two sizes after it is made; a ring with stones all the way around cannot, so its size must be exact from the start.
Metal for a ring
A ring is worn every day, so 585 gold is the practical choice: the alloy is harder and holds the stone better. 750 gold has a richer colour but is softer and more expensive. White gold sets off sapphires and diamonds, yellow gold warms up emeralds and rubies; 925 silver suits a tighter budget but tarnishes and needs more care.
Remote orders, warranty and aftercare
If you are not in Bishkek, we agree the design, 3D model and quote over WhatsApp and show the stone on video in daylight. Every ring comes with a workshop warranty and our lab report for a significant stone; after handover we clean, polish, resize and re-set stones.
